Former Finnish citizens living abroad and their descendants
have theopportunity to acquire Finnish citizenship.
Former Finnish citizens have the opportunity to re-acquire Finnish
citizenship by declaration, if they have lost it when acquiring
the citizenship of another country, for example. Descendants
of former and current Finnish citizens may also acquire Finnish
citizenship by declaration, even if they have never had citizenship.
The declaration must be made at the latest on 31 May 2008.

A teacher needed!
The Finnish School of San Diego is looking for a new teacher
for the teen age group (10 years and over) beginning in the
fall 2007.
Candidates need to be native Finnish speakers with some education
in teaching and experience on working with children. A US work
permit is also required, the compensation for the job is good.
Most of all we are looking for somebody with enthusiasm and
dedication for the Finnish language. The School meets for two
hours every other Saturday.

There is a new on-line USCIS system for lodging change of
address notifications. Compliance with the AR-11 change of address
notification is required within 10 days of a relocation for
most noncitizens, including "green" card holders.
